About me

Hi, I’m Luciana!

I’m originally from Brazil, where I am a Nurse Midwife, and now I support families in Vancouver as a Birth and Postpartum Doula.

My journey with birth started back in nursing school, when I attended my very first birth. It was such a powerful and transformative experience that I knew this was my path. I went on to complete a residency in obstetrics with a focus on humanized care, and over two years, I gained more than 5,000 hours of hands-on experience.

I was able to support families through every stage — from pre conception, to prenatal care, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and newborn care. I also had the chance to support families in both neonatal ICU and home birth settings, which gave me a deep appreciation for the many unique ways babies come into the world.

During these years I’ve had the privilege of being part of hundreds of births, witnessing those unforgettable first moments between parents and their babies. Each one left a mark on me, and I still carry these memories — along with beautiful connections to many of the families I supported.

Four years ago, I moved to Vancouver. Even though I can’t practice as an nurse here, my passion for caring for families never left. I first worked as a nanny, and now as a doula, continuing to support parents as they welcome and adapt to life with their new babies.

My goal is to walk alongside families with warmth, knowledge, and care — offering emotional, physical, and practical support. I believe birth and postpartum should feel respectful, empowering, and filled with love, and I’m here to help make that happen.
